Questions about Christmas services
- When are Christmas Eve services in 2026?
- Christmas Eve is Thursday, December 24, 2026. Most churches hold one or more services that afternoon and evening, often a family or children's service around 4 or 5 pm, a candlelight or carol service in the evening, and in many Catholic and Anglican churches a late service or midnight Mass.
- Do I need to be a member to go to a Christmas Eve service?
- No. Christmas Eve services are open to everyone and free. Popular services fill up, so arriving 20 to 30 minutes early is wise; some large churches ask you to reserve a free ticket, which the church will say on its own website.
- How does a church add its Christmas services?
- Any church listed here can add its services free with the form on this site. A person checks each service before it appears; a church that has claimed its listing can add them directly.
